HELLO
©2003 Elizabeth L. Clark
Hello, come on in. Sorry it's so cluttered, just step over the sarcasm, oh and
watch out for that pile of pain over there.
Excuse the scars please, seems they just pile up. Have a seat, would you like a
cup of tea?
Let me brush away those nasty tears, they fall all over the place these days.
Sorry about the darkness, no light reaches here anymore.
Watch out for the cynicism, it can be mean at times, ignore it and it will pass
on by eventually. Who am I you ask... I'm her soul. Tattered and torn I know,
but better off than her heart I'll wager, poor ugly thing it is.
Don't lean against the walls, the shards of glass will cut you as deeply as it
does her. That's what all those stains are... she bleeds inside here quite
often.
The walls are getting thicker by the day, she weaves them out of the loneliness
and pain you know. She does have a deft hand at it don't you think?
Going already? I'm not surprised, no one stays here... they fear the pain and
seek more happy places to be. Farewell and don't look back please... she hates
to have people see her weave her walls.
