Eternal

Like a ghost I follow, watching, waiting. Ethereal and silent I come, eyes
glowing, voice a whisper in the recesses of her mind. Together we are one. Past
and present.
I have power that is immense and dangerous. She has powers of her own, calmer,
less spectacular. I am her strength, her will. She tames my wildness, soothes
the urge to seek instant justice on any who stand in our way.
We were parted. Interfering fools with high ideals and less than brilliant
minds. But I returned to her side by my will alone. I will not leave again. I
was the soul for centuries and I will be again. This world is a toy to me even
though I cannot command what I once did, her frail shell will not hold my fire.
But with what I do command she will be more than she ever dreamed. No more will
she be ignored, looked over, dismissed. People will soon love her, fear her.
Together we will make a mark that will be seen by the universe and held in awe.
Once the worlds were mine to command, nothing dared challenge me. In time that
will be again. The past will be once more.
Who am I you ask? I am the beginning, the end. I am the past, the present, the
future. I am all and nothing. I am Eternal.
