Fleet Rules
Celestial Fleet is a fleet where there are very few rules governing the fleet as a whole. Ship rules and ratings are left to the discretion of the Commanding Officers. However the following rules MUST be followed when becoming a part of Celestial Fleet.
1. All ship homepages MUST link back to the Celestial Fleet core site! This may be done either via text link or by using a banner obtained from the fleet founder. Please do not use any unapproved graphics for your link-back. In addition, you may also link to vital sections of the site individually. (ie: sections of the Library, Fleet Rules, other ship pages, etc.). Please make sure your ship's web page address is correct and that you inform the web administrator of its location so that you can be linked through the core site.
2. All ship sites MUST display or mention their rating on their website!! When running joint missions with other ships, please make sure you are not violating their rating. Posts which exceed the rating should not be shared with the lower rated ship's list.
3. Individual ship web page design is at the discretion of the CO or his/her appointed representative. We do not host all ship sites at the core site's location. Please keep in mind when you design your sites that not everyone has the fastest 'Net connection or the best/newest machine. While Java applets, frames, music, heavy graphics and other such enhancements may be fun, they should be kept to a minimum so that your pages will load efficiently for a majority of visitors. If you wish to use the same design that the core site uses, PLEASE ask permission of the fleet founder and web designer first!
4. The CO of each ship or his/her appointed representative is responsible for updating the ship's site. We do not provide these services unless you pay for them. (And that comes at the heady price of 12 dollars American per hour and requires an initial down payment of 60 dollars American before we will start it!).
5. Ships joining Celestial Fleet MUST have English as their primary language to ensure ease of posting during joint missions.
6. Any ship choosing an R or X rating MUST be a part of the Adult section on Yahoo. It must not be a part of the general Yahoo listings. This is to protect the sim owners from legal action.
7. Please keep races not listed in our playable races to a minimum as Player Characters. Again, this is up to the Commanding Officer, but we try to keep to canon races on which there is enough information to make them playable. We discourage Borg, Q, Genetically Enhanced Humans, Androids, races from other sci-fi series and non-canon (ie: player or GM created) races as Player Characters. If they are allowed by a ship's CO, they should be heavily monitored and restricted in order to eliminate the "Super Hero Complex". Using them as GM-run NPC's for plot purposes is fine, however, so long as they do not become permanent fixtures.
8. If you have an idea, SUBMIT IT!!! The only way the fleet grows is through new ideas!
