Personal Traits: Generally well and tastefully dressed and keeps a neat appearance. Has a friendly, open face and is usually smiling. She tends to be quietly commanding, one whose orders are taken not because she is outwardly intimidating, but because she has a rather powerful presence that commands respect.

Personality: Ashanti is a very conscientious, caring, honorable and stable person. She is very much aware of the running of a ship and how it effects the crew. She is a loving mother and was, during her duty, a competent officer.

Early Life: Ashanti's youth was divided between living on Earth with her Aunt and traveling with her parents who were both in Fleet. On one of those visits, when she was 11 years old,  her parents' ship, USS Stargazer,  encountered the first Ferengi ship at Maxia and the ship was lost. She, her father, the captain  and a few others of the crew were able to escape. She still has nightmares to this day of those events, when she was forced to watch her mother die a rather gruesome death. She has mild claustrophobia due to being trapped in the dark with her mother's corpse for hours.

Academy Life: She spent most of her time at the Academy living up to the high standards set by her father.
